The FSU which is the first federation of education unions in France, wishes to express its deep sadness to the families of students and teachers who were victims of the mass killing in Uvalde, Texas. We stand with them.
We also support teachers unions who unanimously demand gun control in their country.
Let us not forget that already in 2018, after the shooting in Parkland, 60,000 teachers had unanimously refused being armed as a way to respond to and solve the issue of killings.
